Fish Identification
The State of Florida is home to over 400 hundred species of fish, border to border freshwater or saltwater.  So why is it most saltwater fishermen hunt the big four: Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, and Tarpon?  Or our freshwater fishermen fishing for Bass or my favorite the Speckled Perch better known as Crappie.  Is it the fight or taste?  Only those who fish for them know that answer.  But then there's the fishermen who will read this and know they have their own species of fish that they prefer.
This page is here to help you better identify your catch whether your an experienced fishermen or new to our fisheries.

Here are some links to the Florida Fish and Wildlife that will greatly enhance your Fish Identification knowledge.  I hope to see you on the water soon.
